On June 26th the Goodwood Festival of Speed reached an exciting end - with the world’s leading manufacturers (including Bugatti, Aston Martin, and Mercedes-Benz) thrilling audiences with full-throttle displays. None of these displays, however, achieved the same reaction as Ford’s final lap in its much-celebrated Raptor.
Ford - in stark contrast with the convertibles, coupes, and rally-racers - brought its 2017 F-150 Raptor to Goodwood, stunning audiences with spectacular power. Watch below as the truck (deftly handled by former Top Gear performer Ben Collins) completes a 360-degree spin-out on the track.
Ben Collins - known across the globe as the former Stig - left Goodwood guests speechless when he sent the 2017 Raptor tail-spinning across the track. This feat demanded incredible skill... and undeniable power, utilizing the F-150’s V6 engine to ensure a smooth arch.
It’s no surprise that this stunt had the entire festival bursting with gasps, applause, and questions - all centered around the 2017 Raptor and its all-terrain capabilities. The Novlan team is certain that Goodwood will have a good impact on Ford’s upcoming F-Series sales.

Across North America drivers and dealers alike hold their collective breaths - waiting anxiously for the 2017 F-150 to arrive. They crave best-in-class power, with the latest F-Series model boasting a 3.5L V6 and an economy-boosting aluminum construction. This truck promises enhanced speed, strength, and efficiency.
It also promises a new interior design.
According to Torque News, the 2017 F-150 will feature an updated speed cluster gauge. This gauge will highlight the truck’s 10-speed automatic transmission - the first of its kind for the F-Series. Developed in partnership with General Motors, the 10-speed platform will deliver precise performance, allowing for seamless terrain navigation. By eliminating cast iron components - which generate excess weight, interfering with both the engine and the drivetrain - the aluminum system will shift with greater efficiency.
This, the Novlan team knows, will prove crucial for North American consumers - allowing them to adapt to work and play with ease. The 2017 F-150 is engineered for everyday performance; and, with the arrival of the new speed gauge cluster, it’s ready for any demand.
No official release date has been given for the 2017 F-150. Critics anticipate that the announcement will arrive soon, however, and the truck should shortly roll into dealerships.

May offered more than its proverbial flowers in 2016. Instead it delivered strong sales - with the Ford F-Series blitzing past the competition and generating new records.
According to 24/7 Wall Street, the F-Series remains the best-selling pick-up in North America, earning an impressive 67,412 total units in May. This represents a 9% year-over-year increase, with the F-150, F-250, and Raptor (once again) proving their consumer appeals. This provided Ford with approximately 45% of all full-size purchases.
The competition was, therefore, left in the dust - with the GMC Silverado delivering only 45,035 units (a 12% year-over-year decline) and the Dodge Ram achieving only 38,833 units (a 3% year-over-year decline). Other leading marquees - including the Toyota Tundra and the Nissan Frontier - fared worse, unable to even manage 10,000 units each. These statistics highlight the value of the F-Series, with consumers flocking to best-in-class towing, payloads, and economy.
June should continue this trend, with drivers hurrying to the Novlan lot to find their F-Series powerhouses. We expect a strong start to summer and know that these trucks will provide seasonal power for all.

The decades have proven kind to the Ford F-Series - with North American drivers consistently pushing it toward the top of the sales charts, shattering records and expectations in equal measure. Its pick-up powerhouses (including the XL, Lariat, and King Ranch) promise exceptional performance with every generation.
That performance was recently rewarded, with Canadian dealerships experiencing a sales surge in early 2016.
According to CTV News, the Ford F-Series has achieved spectacular results in 2016 - dominating 38% of the total pick-up market and delivering a year-over-year increase of 27%. This has led to thousands of total units sold, with April generating 13,957 sales alone.
This, the Novlan team knows, is an extraordinary result - one that highlights the enduring legacy of the F-Series. This Ford model has become a favorite of North Americans, proving perfect for work, play, and every road in between. Its recent high sales simply showcase its all-terrain ease.

Dark roads prove the foil of every North American laborer, with every curve obscured and every mile shadowed. Trying to navigate the endless black lines is a challenge. Trying to work within them, however, is a danger - with limited visibility putting every man and woman at risk.
Ford seeks to change this... with LED lighting.
According to Car Scoops, Ford has just premiered its latest F-Series innovation: a LED warning light kit. This platform fuses directly to the 2016 F-150’s hood and stop mounts, utilizing strobe signals to highlight both the front and rear of the truck. Through brilliant illumination (which can be seen up to one mile at night), this kit ensures that all drivers remain visible when perched on the side of the road.
This, the Novlan team knows, is essential for construction teams, government assessors, and other evening professionals - with many drivers parked on precarious corners and unable to be seen by passing cars. Through LED intervention, they’ll achieve greater safety.
Car Scoops notes that the LED warning kit is currently available for commercial usage only (fleet identification proof is required for purchase). We anticipate, however, that this system will eventually find its way to all North American consumers - ensuring protection for all.

Sustainability defines Ford - with every high-speed solution fused with conservation and every high-performance design tailored to durability. The company seeks to counter every environmental impact, utilizing smart strategies to reduce resource consumption, lower fuel emissions, and enhance operations.
These strategies are proving very effective.
According to Green Car Reports, Ford is fully embracing its environmental policies - with its F-150 production plants utilizing 20 million pounds of recycled aluminum each month. Through a closed loop process - which uses scrap metals found in-house - the company builds thousands of F-Series trucks, eliminating the need for outside resources and promoting eco-friendly construction.
Green Car Reports notes that recycled aluminum reduces overall production emissions by 95%, greatly lessening the truck's environmental impact. Ford’s F-150 delivers best-in-class performance and best-in-class sustainability.
It’s not the only solution provided by the brand. Instead Ford offers a series of eco-specific programs, including: hybrid platforms, Eco-Route planning, EcoBoost efficiency, and autonomous data surveys (which highlight ways to improve both the driving and production experiences). Through these services, the company emphasizes long-term viability - and there’s nothing more important than that.

In the not-so-quiet corners of the automotive world drivers now gather - eagerly awaiting the arrival of the 2017 F-150, clamoring for the latest powertrain innovations from Ford. The Novlan team knows that pick-up devotees won’t be disappointed.... because a new transmission is on the way.
According to Gas2, the 2017 F-150 will feature a 10-speed automatic transmission. This upgrade - which was completed in partnership with General Motors - will allow the truck to achieve enhanced results, utilizing a more responsive gear range to promote seamless accelerations. Drivers will no longer have to fear the dreaded flat-spots. Instead every mile will provide smooth, steady transitions (even when towing more than 12,000 pounds of cargo).Â
To further promote efficiency, this transmission will feature composite alloys and aluminums - materials that will reduce overall powertrain weights and help to bolster results from the EcoBoost engine (pictured to the right). No official milage rates have been released, but critics are anticipating best-in-class results.
The 10-speed automatic transmission will be the first of its class for the pick-up market. Novlan knows it will surely propel the 2017 F-150 toward sales domination - and we can’t wait to see this truck in action on our lot.

In 2009 Ford introduced drivers to its EcoBoost engine, delivering a less-is-more philosophy to a market saturated by bigger-is-better vehicles. It emphasized the need for economy and efficiency - and it fused its automotive line with precise power, showcasing that a tiny platform could still generate impressive results.
Those results will soon become far more impressive - because Ford is bringing the EcoBoost to its 2017 F-150 and with it comes greater torque.
According to GizMag, Ford is providing its F-150 with an EcoBoost upgrade. The twin-turbo 3.5L engine will now offer an additional 30 lb.-ft of torque to ensure best-in-class performance (450 lb.-ft). This will allow drivers to work hard and play harder, with the 2017 variant adapting to every terrain with ease.
This, the Novlan team knows, will surely silence recent criticisms of the F-150 (the use of aluminum panels and the introduction of the EcoBoost were originally met with uncertainty). By enhancing the pick-up’s capabilities, Ford will surely maintain its consumer base - and perhaps even expand it.
We look forward to seeing the 2017 F-150 in action!

What’s that sound? Could it be the roar of a 600 HP Coyote engine? Is it the slap of Mickey Thompson Baja tires against the pavement?
Yes!

According to AutoBlog, Ford and ROUSH Racing have recently partnered - transforming the 2016 F-150 into a true aluminum beast. The pick-up now boasts a 5.0L V6 engine and R23000 Eaton TVS supercharger, allowing it to achieve 600 HP and 557 lb.-ft of torque. According to AutoBlog, Ford is testing its 2018 F-150. This pick-up (which is rumored to feature an economical 3.0L V6 engine, capable of generating 254 HP and 443 lb.-ft of torque) was recently spotted in the United States, wearing considerably less camouflage than previous prototypes. This afforded views of its new grille, enhanced fenders, and recessed headlamps; and critics are already complimenting the redefined fascia.Â
What do you think of the 2018 F-150? The Novlan team appreciates the striking lines, knowing they contain what promises to be one of Ford’s most efficient pick-ups ever.
The 2018 F-150 currently has no official production date. We anticipate an early spring arrival, however, next year and look forward to seeing it on the Saskatchewan roads.
