Rejoice, Alberta business owners! The Vincentric Award winners have just been announced - and the 2018 F-350 Super Duty is among the winners.
According to For Construction Pros, the Vincentric Awards (which showcase the most capable platforms for both light and heavy duty work) have revealed North America’s best fleet vehicles - celebrating power, performance, and payload capability. The 2018 F-350 was among the honorees, earning recognition as the Best Full-Ton Truck.
We’re not surprised.
The new F-350 has been tailored for the commercial market. Beneath its hood growls a 6.7L PowerStroke turbo diesel engine - which yields 450 HP and 935 lb.-ft of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission promises smooth control, while integrated drive-modes (including Sport, Eco, and Tow/Haul) deliver custom traction ratios. The fully-boxed steel frame sits on oversized axles that have boast a 24% torsion increase; while electronic stability and control technology counters under-steerage with gyroscopic precession.
The result is a class-leading pick-up - with the 2018 F-350 boasting up to 21,000 pounds of conventional trailering, up to 34,000 pounds of gooseneck trailering, and up to 7,630 pounds of payload hauling. No other platform proves this powerful.

With economy often comes a sacrifice of power. Drivers find themselves saving money but losing traction - and trying to conquer the backroads becomes an impossibility.
According to Kelley Blue Book, the new F-150 demands no compromises. Despite its efficient engine (a 3.0L PowerStroke V6, which yields 16 MPGs in the city and 22 MPGs on the highway), this truck proves perfect for all-terrain adventures. It boasts a fully boxed frame, which ensures a stable ride; while the suspension pairs two-stage variable rate leaf springs with coil support. Rack-and-pinion steering delivers precise responses; while the two-speed automatic four-wheel-drive system automatically engages as needed, utilizing transfer case technology to assess inclines, lane alignments, and trajectory. This creates a smooth burst of traction when the roads turn rough.
To further enhance performance, the 2018 F-150 Diesel also features an optional electronic rear differential - which helps to provide balance while cornering. It counters the chance of sudden rolls, adjusting the truck’s performance-band to create a fluid ride.
No mile will ever prove challenging again.

It’s no longer a race for half-ton domination - with the winner always pre-determined and the competition falling behind. The Ford F-Series has (once again) revved to the top of the charts; and critics wonder whether any brand can ever hope to unseat it.
We somehow don’t think so.
As Market Realist explains, the F-Series - anchored by the 2018 F-150, F-250, and F-350 - achieved a 7% year-to-year growth in March, earning 87,000 total unit sales. This marks the 11th consecutive month of fleet gains; and it showcases the true popularity of the Ford brand, with drivers propelling these trucks toward (yet another) record-setting quarter. Overall profit increases are expected to exceed 19.4%.
How is the possible? The Novlan team credits Ford’s latest diesel powertrain - with the F-Series offering a 6.7L V6. This class-exclusive option yields staggering capability (250 HP and 440 lb.-ft of torque) and unprecedented economy (30 MPGs on the highway). It blends direct-injection technology with an advanced turbocharger to optimize each rev, and this transforms every pick-up into a true all-terrain beast.
Is it any surprise that drivers are seeking these platforms out?

It begins with a whisper - the promise of a class-leading compact, the hint of a twin-turbo performer. The 2019 Ranger Raptor, critics muse, may find its way to North America; and steadily this hope grows, with consumers clamoring for both information and confirmation. They beg Ford to make this happen, swearing that they’ll all flock to the dealerships in return.
Possibility may soon turn to reality - because Ford is contemplating bringing the 2019 Ranger Raptor overseas!
As The Drive explains, Ford may soon ship the Ranger Raptor to North America. Consumer response has been overwhelming and the need for a compact alternative proves viable. This has, of course, led to intense speculation about how much this platform will cost (its niche design and international marque brands it unique among the market).
The Drive team believes it has a close estimate. This platform currently sells for $27,390 in Australia - with consumers forced to pay for both shipping and international tariffs (which raise the total price by a 1.81 multiplier). US and Canadian customers wouldn’t be subject to those specific fees, however. Instead they could reap the benefits of best-in-class power for as little as $21,259.
That, The Drive argues, would deliver access to a base model - which should include a twin-turbo engine, a 10-speed automatic transmission, and an AWD. A sport-tuned suspension is also anticipated to ensure superior off-roading.
What do you think of the possibility of a 2019 Ranger Raptor release in North America? Will this (potential) price prove easy on your budget? Share your opinions with us today!
Hybrid performance no longer underwhelms - with Ford introducing its 2018 F-250 to the North American market. This Super Duty platform has been thoroughly refreshed, emphasizing premium power with every rev.
Prepare, Alberta, for the ultimate hybrid experience.
According to PickupTrucks.com, the 2018 F-250 has been transformed into a potent EV - courtesy of a partnership between Ford and XL Hybrids. Anchoring this platform is an advanced dual powertrain, which combines a 6.2L V8 with a 1.8-kWH lithium-ion battery pack. A front-mounted inverter delivers a steady performance band, sending bursts of torque to the AWD; while an XLink telematics controller assesses every rev, optimizing both fuel levels and air intakes to ensure maximum capability.
The result is a hybrid that can achieve 385 HP and 430 lb.-ft of torque while in traditional combustible mode - and then generate an additional 220 lb.-ft of torque when engaging its lithium-powered throttle. This ensures a 0 to 60 run of 6.7-seconds and a maximum tow rating of 15,000 pounds. Compromise is a thing of the past.
The 2018 F-250 Super Duty will be available in limited North American markets - but, should it prove popular, Ford may expand its production schedule. We’ll keep our fingers crossed.

Prepare, Ford fans, for the arrival of pure compact power. Soon the 2019 Ranger will arrive in North America, bringing segment-leading performance and undeniable fun.
No longer will the pick-up market be defined by hulking half-ton platforms. Instead the new Ranger will bring a deliver a leaner, meaner sensibility. According to Car Buzz, drivers can expect a revised chassis - with a fully-boxed frame wrapped in lightweight aluminum. No official dimensions have yet been offered, but it’s believed that the body has been slightly elongated to rival current GMC and Chevrolet trucks (a 212-inch wheelbase is anticipated). This, when coupled with the revised fenders and narrow headlamps, will create a sporty stance.
Beneath the sculpted hood of the 2019 Ranger will sit a 2.3L EcoBoost four-cylinder. While F-Series fans may scoff at such an engine, the Novlan team is quick to remind them that a massive V8 isn’t needed to power this platform. Instead this sprightly option will yield an estimated 250 HP and 300 lb.-ft of torque - proving ideal for the compact market. To further enhance performance, Ford will also deliver a 10-speed automatic transmission (which will smoothly shift on every terrain, allowing for easy access to the truck’s reported 8,000 pounds of trailering).
The 2019 Ranger will revitalize the mid-size market - allowing drivers to discover that bigger isn’t always better. To learn more about this platform contact us today.
More than a year has passed since Ford unleashed its 2017 F-250 on the streets - but time hasn’t compromised this Super Duty platform. Despite the endless half-ton newcomers, this pick-up remains just as viable as it did upon its release.
According to Motor Authority, the 2017 F-250 was recently taken for a week-long journey through the crowded lanes of Chicago. While this seems an unlikely place to find such a mammoth truck, critics were quick to note that this Ford model proved perfect for the plunging Illinois' temperatures and slick downtown pavement. Anchored by a 6.7L PowerStroke V8, it generated 440 HP and 925 lb.-ft of torque - allowing it to effortlessly push through the snow. A six-speed automatic transmission yielded deft handling, quickly delivering the perfect gear ratios for wet terrains; while adaptive electric-assisted steering ensured tight turn radiuses (23.8-feet).
Despite its hefty frame - which measured 266-inches long, 80-inches wide, and 82-inches high - the 2017 F-250 deftly navigated every Chicago neighborhood; and the Motor Authority team found that its stiff aluminum frame proved particularly valuable on the highway, delivering a refined ride with every rev.
This is the ultimate city pick-up.

In 2015 Ford transformed the half-ton market - introducing drivers to its newly revised F-Series. This fleet delivered a design like no other, with its F-150, F-250 and F-350 platforms all fused with military-grade aluminum. The effect proved both striking and economical (shedding more than 700-pounds from each chassis to promote improved fuel capabilities). Strong sales followed and every chart has since been dominated by the Big Blue Oval.
Many critics are, therefore, surprised to learn that Ford intends to unveil a series of new pick-ups to the market. The F-Series is receiving its 14th generation upgrade.
According to Torque News, Ford is currently revising its entire F-Series fleet. Despite the current design architecture proving popular - with drivers seeking out its lightweight frame and smart cargo options, including the BoxLink system (which blends stowable loading ramps with deployable side-steps) - the company wishes to push its technology forward. By 2020 it intends to launch fully revised F-150s, F-250s, and Super Duty models; and, while no official specs have been revealed, many believe that each of these platforms will deliver:
Standardized 10-Speed Transmission: currently an optional F-Series feature, this system should be integrated into the entire fleet. It will allow for smooth automatic responses, reducing gear-strain on tricky terrains.
Increased Aluminum: Ford shattered the half-ton mold when it cast the F-Series in an alloy frame. Now that this material has proven its worth, expect to see it used to even greater effect. New paneling and undercarriage castings are anticipated.
Flat-Loading Floor: Currently found in the Super Crew and Super Cab configurations, this design option should be offered across every truck, providing one-touch storage solutions and durable vinyl materials.
The 2020 F-Series promises to improve upon every Ford feature - and we can’t wait to see these trucks in Alberta. To learn more contact us today.
It seems the most unlikely of competitions - with the 2018 F-Series pitting itself against social media giant Facebook. Both are ready to reveal their revenues for 2017; and Alberta critics snicker in disbelief, certain that Ford will (finally) find itself at a disadvantage. While the Big Blue Oval may dominate the half-ton market, it simply can’t outperform the world’s largest online network.
Can it?
According to The Detroit Free Press, it most certainly can. The venerable news site has just reported that - in 2017 -Â the F-Series generated a staggering $41.25 billion. This fleet of trucks (which includes the F-150, F-250, and F-350) left all competitors behind, including Facebook (which earned $40 billion, respectively).
How is such a feat possible? In an interview with The Detroit Free Press, Erich Merkle (a Ford analyst) said: “On average, we'll sell about two F-Series pickup trucks every minute. By the time you've finished this article you're reading right now, we've sold another one."
The Novlan team isn’t surprised. The 2018 F-Series has proven an unstoppable force on our lot, delivering best-in-class towing (21,000 pounds when properly equipped) and exceptional power (up to 450 HP and 510 lb.-ft of torque). The inclusion of a new 10-speed automatic transmission further propels sales, providing our customers with the seamless gear ratios they crave. It blends a crisp low-to-mid range capability, quickly engaging the SelectShift functionality to improve performance.
It’s no wonder that Facebook can’t keep up!

It was no easy feat - with the 2018 F-150 forced to endure a grueling series of tasks, pitting itself against the environment and other half-ton platforms. Its performance ratios were tested; its trailering capabilities were pushed to the limits; and… it secured an undisputed victory.
The NY Daily News has just declared the 2018 F-150 to be the Best Pick-Up Truck in North America!
The NY team recently sought to discover the most powerful platform in North America. To do this, it created an all-terrain course that would test the capabilities of every major model. Ford’s beloved pick-up (naturally) revved to a first-place finish.
Anchored by a standard 3.3L V6, this truck delivers 290 HP. Its lightweight aluminum design ensures seamless handling, maximizing the available 10-speed automatic transmission and decreasing engine strain (fuel can more easily circulate, generating 18 MPGs in the city and 23 MPGs on the highway). An AWD yields deft responses on even the rockiest roads, while a reinforced steel underbody accommodates every payload. When properly equipped, this model promises up to 3,720-pounds of cargo-box hauling.
Compromise proves a thing of the past.
The 2018 F-150 has just been named the Best Truck on the market - and we know that the only one to usurp this title will be its 2019 successor.
