Ford Vehicle News For Saskatchewan Canada
Shatter expectations on the Lloydminster highway. The 2022 F-150 Lightning - which is currently available to reserve - has finally been unveiled, and its drive-range capabilities leave critics stunned.

According to Green Car Reports, the new F-150 Lightning will deliver impressive power to the North American market - boasting two advanced battery pack options. The first (a 98-kwh unit) yields up to 230 miles of available electric range, serving as the standard engine supplement for the XLT and Lariat. When paired with the 4x4 drivetrain and dual-motor configuration, this will ensure superior performance.

For those craving extended power, however, Ford also offers an available 131-kwh battery pack for its Platinum trim. This propels the truck to a class-leading 320-mile range and it will maximize performance options on the highway.

To further impress, the new F-150 Lightning features an 80-amp port - which will afford accelerated recovery capabilities. Up to 30 miles of range can be generated per hour, allowing drivers to achieve Level II efficiency. Maintain an optimal charge on-the-go.

The 2022 F-150 Lightning is coming - and drivers across Saskatchewan are clamouring to slip behind the wheel.

According to TechCrunch, Ford’s latest hybrid is shattering records across North America. The Lightning already boasts a staggering 120,000 reservations, with drivers anxious to take advantage of its 100% electric powertrain; and, most surprisingly, three-quarters of these orders come from entirely new customers. This showcases the growing need for environmentally-conscious pick-ups, and it validates the Big Blue Oval’s shift toward PHEV technology.

The 2022 F-150 Lightning will prove a true powerhouse on the highway. Its dual motor system - which will be assisted by a lithium-ion battery pack - is estimated to deliver 563 HP and 775 lb.-ft of torque. A 10,000 pound trailering capacity is expected, and its payload rating should reach 2,000 pounds. Pair this with a 0 to 60 acceleration of approximately 4.5 seconds and this platform will show the true value of electric performance. A standard 4x4 drivetrain will further improve the experience.
