Cellular technology is changing: smartphones deliver instant information; screens offer high-definition images; apps address every user concern. This is a digital age.Â
And Ford has fully embraced it.
At the 2013 Milan Design Week Ford announced its desire to transform smartphone capabilities. During the “Democratization of Design and Technology†panel, company representatives detailed plans for a new SYNC AppLink device.Â
This device will allow drivers to effortlessly control and monitor smartphone apps while in their cars. It will grant instant access to programs like: Spotify (music streaming), Kaliki Audio Newsstand (audible newspapers and magazines), Glympse (real-time mapping and tracking programs), Aha (a centralized social media site, tailoring web news results to an individual's network profile) and more. The possibilities are endless.
The SYNC AppLink system will make its debut in the new Ford EcoSport, a compact SUV. Convenience is now within every driver’s reach.
