According to Motor One, Ford is preparing its assembly line for the new F-150 - and the testing process has begun. Along the Colorado peaks the brand recently unveiled its latest F-Series powerhouse, pitting it against sharp inclines and harsh turns alike. Though heavily camouflaged, this platform is already sparking excitement, with critics citing both an upgraded engine and a series of chassis updates.

Beneath the hood of the 2021 F-150 - if rumors are to be believed - will be a 4.8L V8. Though not as large as its 5.0L predecessor, this engine is expected to deliver maximum power: with the standard 395 HP ratio jumping to 420. The current 10-speed automatic transmission is expected to make the transition and this should ensure nimble responses.

Further enticing critics is the promise of a revised frame - with the truck’s B-Pillars seeming to be widened and the aluminum panels extended. This lends a more aggressive appearance and suggests that Ford is bolstering the platform’s all-terrain capabilities. Expect a more durable design.
