MEET THE ULTIMATE FARMHAND

When you hire someone to work on your farm, what qualities do you look for? Most likely, you would agree that the ideal farmhand should be versatile, dependable, and strong. Fortunately for you, you’re guaranteed to find all of these qualities in a T4 series tractor, the Ultimate Farmhand, from New Holland.

PROVEN POWER

COMMON RAIL IS COMMON SENSE

A utility tractor needs to have power, and a new T4 will certainly give you that. This 3.4L (207 cubic-inch) turbocharged F5D engine provides you with responsive power. This engine utilizes a high pressure common rail fuel injection system to enhance combustion, which is crucial for lowering emissions for Tier 4A compliance. New Holland introduced common rail to the agriculture industry in 2003. Today, these enhanced engines are the latest generation to reap the rewards of this technology, optimizing performance and quietness significantly incomparison to the previous Tier 3 NEF engines.

KEEP GOING IN DIFFICULT CONDITIONS

When you ask for more power, your F5D engine will give it to you with an enormous torque backup of 35%. So, when you’re working in demanding conditions, like round baling high-moisture hay in uneven swaths, you’ll maintain both your forward speed and PTO speed while these large portions are fed into your baler.

CLEAN ENERGY LEADER

In order to fulfill Tier 4A emissions standards, F5D engines are equipped with a Cooled Exhaust Gas Recirculation (CEGR) system and a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). Rest assured, Fiat Power Train (FPT) has ample experience with CEGR and DPF on passenger cars and commercial light-duty trucks. CEGR is the wise choice for the T4 tractors because it keeps their physical dimensions small, which is what you expect from a utility tractor. CEGR also enhances engine density up to 36 HP per liter of displacement because fuel injection and CEGR are electronically monitored. Finally, the cooling requirements and costs associated with installing a CEGR system on a smaller engine are inherently lower, making this system a smart choice.

TRANSMISSIONS TAILORED FOR YOU

SMART SHIFTING

Regardless of the transmission you choose, you receive a smart control layout that enables you to easily shift through your gears and ranges. The range lever, located to your right at the bottom of the CommandArc™ console, provides you with three ranges to choose from. Above the range lever you will find your gearshift lever that you control to shift through your four synchronized gears while on the move.

12X12 MECHANICAL SHUTTLE

This base transmission is perfect for get-on-and-go simplicity and finding the speeds you need for a variety of different implements. This transmission features a left hand mechanical shuttle located on the steering column and a synchronized gear lever and unsynchronized range lever on the right hand side of the platform. The max speed of this base transmission is 19-mph.

20X12 MECHANICAL SHUTTLE WITH CREEPER

If you need to go slower but have with the simplicity of a base transmission, a 20X12 transmission with a creeper is available. This transmission features two additional ranges with four creeper gears in each range.

12X12 POWER SHUTTLE

The 12X12 transmission with power shuttle is perfect for general applications. For instance, this transmission is ideal for loader work because it has a great mix of speeds combined with an ergonomic power shuttle, making shuttling between forward and reverse a breeze.

20X20 POWER SHUTTLE WITH CREEPER

The 20X20 power shuttle transmission with a creeper is perfect for specialty crops where going slow is important. Combined with the ergonomic power shuttle, this transmission is well-suited for planting and harvesting vegetables by hand. Combined with the optional 25-mph (40-kph) top speed option, you can take your time in the field and then quickly cruise down the road back home or on to the next field.

OPTIONAL 25-MPH (40-KPH) GROUND SPEED

For operators with a 4WD front axle who need to get down the road faster, an optional 25-mph transmission is available on all models.

REAR END COMPONENTS

HYDRAULIC FLOW FOR PRECISION APPLICATIONS

You need sufficient hydraulic flow to ensure that your tractor does a quality job, whether it’s lifting a mower up at the headlands of a field or a full loader bucket of silage in the barnyard. Yet again, the T4 series tractors are here to help with their open center hydraulic system that features two pumps: one to power the high pressure circuit (implement pump) and one to run the low pressure circuit (steering and services).

T4 tractors with a mechanical shuttle come standard with a 12.5 gallon per minute (gpm) (47.5 liters per minute (l/min)) implement pump and a 7.3 gpm (27.5 l/min) steering pump for a total combined flow of 19.8 gpm (75 l/min). For hydraulic shuttles as well as applications that need more flow, an optional implement pump is available to provide an impressive flow of 16.9 gpm (63.9 l/min) of flow. This pump also comes with a larger, 9.7 gpm (37 l/min) steering and services pump.

All T4 series tractors can also be equipped with either one or two rear remotes with quick release couplers from the factory. Three remotes can be installed by your local New Holland dealer

A two function mid-mount valve and joystick with a 3rd function switch are also optional for loader applications.

HANDLE HEAVY LIFTING WITH EASE

You can handle heavy bales and implements with ease thanks to a single auxiliary lift ram that can lift an impressive 5,620 lbs. (2,549 kg) at 24”. Need more lift capacity? No worries. An optional single 50mm lift ram can boost your capacity up to 7,351 lbs. (3,334 kg) at 24”. You can conveniently control your three-point hitch with two levers located on the right hand side of the seat.

CAB

THE VISIONVIEW CAB: LOOK UP AS YOU LIFT UP

You’ll be impressed when you look up and have a perfect view of your loader thanks to the optional high visibility panel. This panel can be opened up in the summertime to allow fresh air in the cab. When the sun gets too hot, the integrated sunshade can easily provide you with shade.

PERFECTLY PLACED CONTROLS

The most frequently used controls are all conveniently located on the CommandArc™ to your right. This ergonomic cluster places your PTO knob, hydraulic levers, throttle lever, three-point hitch controls, and even your loader joystick all in one convenient location.

T4 tractors equipped with a cab can be equipped with an optional full-size buddy seat that enables you to show someone exactly how you want a task done.

PERFORMANCE AT A GLANCE

The unobstructed instrument cluster moves in conjunction with the tilting steering column for a clear view of key operating information. Consult the easy to read performance monitor for information on your acres worked, direction, and service information in the convenient three-section display.

RUGGED ROPS PLATFORM

ROPS FOR AN OPEN AIR EXPERIENCE

All T4 tractors are available in an ergonomic, flat deck, ROPS configuration. For applications where low-clearance is crucial, the ROPS can easily be folded down. The CommandArc™ console is still part of this configuration, providing you with unmatched ergonomic comfort.

FOPS FOR SHADE AND PROTECTION

For added shade and protection from the elements and debris, a stylish FOPS canopy is available. In addition, the FOPS canopy also comes with a noise reduction kit, which includes grab rail glass and a rubber floor mat to reduce noise and vibration.

SMART STORAGE

ROPS models have additional storage compartments on both fenders since no cab air filters are needed. These storage spaces are easily accessible from both the platform as well as the ground.
