According to The Dayton Daily News, Ford will soon rev up production of its 2019 Ranger - with a spring arrival date planned for next year. This should cause considerable celebration within North America, with drivers no longer having to feel the loss of a half-ton alternative. While the F-Series remains the top-selling vehicle in both Canada and the United States, there is still a viable compact market; and consumers will soon have the best in nimble handling and powerhouse performance.
The Dayton Daily News explains that - when the 2019 Ford Ranger arrives - it will offer a 2.3L EcoBoost four-cylinder engine (the same one currently housed inside the Mustang). A 10-speed automatic transmission will replace the traditional manual gearbox, ensuring smooth handling; while two-door and four-door options will accommodate all driver needs, branding this both a commercial hauler and a family platform. The potential of a six-foot bed should also impress, promising payload capacities of more than 1,500 pounds.
