According to Car and Driver, the new F-150 Raptor R yields a bold backroad experience. Peek beneath its hood and discover a class-shattering 5.2L V8. This supercharged aluminum block (which features a reinforced air exhaust system and an improved pulley configuration) delivers 700 HP and 640 lb.-ft of torque, while its 10-speed automatic transmission seamlessly adapts to changing terrain demands. The innovative transfer case boasts rear, auto four-wheel, high-range four-wheel, and low-range four-wheel capabilities; and a manually locking differential assures precise power. 

The Raptor R has been tailored for high-performance - delivering an estimated 0 to 60 output of 3.7 seconds. It achieves a top speed of 114 MPH, and its quarter-mile capabilities reach an impressive 12.1 seconds. This affords track-inspired power on even the toughest terrains.

According to Ford Authority, the F-150 Raptor R will soon make its North American debut - and it's bringing new design cues with it. This V8 platform is aggressively styled, riding on 17-inch forged aluminum wheels (complete with bead-lock capability). Custom badging will flank the grille, bringing a bright punch of orange colouring; while two front-mounted tow hooks will rest beneath the carbon fibre trim. A power dome will anchor the hood, and sleek modern graphics will frame the sides and tailgate. 

Additionally, Ford will pair the 2023 F-150 Raptor R with eight exterior colours, including Azure Gray and Oxford White; and these will all be perfectly complemented by black trim and BSW all-terrain tires. The effect will prove striking on the highway and backroads alike.

According to AutoBlog, the new F-150 Tremor will trade its traditional 3.5L EcoBoost V6 for the consumer-favourite Coyote V8. The new block - which will feature twin independent variable cam timing - will deliver an estimated 400 HP and 410 lb.-ft of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission will assure dynamic handling, even when faced with a best-in-class payload rating of 3,325 pounds; while port-fuel and direct-injection systems will work in tandem to optimize performance. Variable Displacement technology will bolster efficiency, seamlessly adjusting cylinder responses to accommodate terrain and trailering demands; and the aluminum construction will lessen overall weight. 

Tremor fans may be quick to note that the current EcoBoost engine delivers a higher torque ratio than the V8 - earning up to 500 lb.-ft. AutoBlog explains, however, that the Coyote block is tailored for superior low to mid-range responses, enabling drivers to achieve optimal power faster. This makes it ideal for off-road adventures and long-hauls alike.

This light-duty pick-up was recently spotted on the brand's proving grounds, and North Battleford critics have been scrutinizing every detail. 

According to Motor One, the 2023 F-150 Raptor R is revving closer toward production. Ford stripped this platform of all camouflage and sent it roaring down the streets - much to the delight of photographers. Visible for the first time was the truck’s revised front grille, which featured deep-set halogen lights flanking a mesh background. The brand’s signature emblem was etched into the centre, and just below it saw the inclusion of connecting skid plates. 

This created a rugged first impression - which was then followed by a series of additional revelations. Black wheel moulding emphasized the sculpted sides, complemented by running boards; while the hood delivered a punch of contrasting colour with an integrated vent panel. Dual-exhaust tips peeked out at the rear, and the new R emblem was seen on the bumper. This Raptor ride thrilled from every angle.
